On 1/23/2015 the Kindergarteners at SFE were treated to a visit from Terri Herring, an artist with the Artist in Residence (AIR) Program. The program this day would take these young students to Where the Wild Things Are, a story by Maurice Sendak. After an interactive reading session featuring Sendak’s popular story, the students worked with clay to create their very own version of a Sendak character that could easily be found in his wild and wooly story.
