Hello Sol Feinstone 3^rd and 6^th graders!
2018 SCIENCE FAIR

Sol Feinstone will be hosting our Fifth Annual Science Fair. It will be held on March 15th, 2018. All students in 3^rd and 6^th grades are encouraged to participate. This is a rewarding and fantastic learning experience … and FUN too!

Your child can work individually, with a 3^rd or 6^th grade partner, or enter as a family. The categories will include life science, physical science, and earth/environmental science.  Family projects WILL be judged separately.  Please see the attached  “Science Fair Parent Guide” and accompanying documents for in-depth information pertaining to participation, selecting a topic, display content, research tools, judging criteria, etc.

Registration will take place on-line through the SFEPTO website until Wednesday, January 31st, please complete the Science Fair Registration Form here.  A participation fee must be paid with registration to cover materials costs.  The fee for an individual student is $15, the fee for a team (2 students) or a family is $25.   All students who participate will be recognized and awarded a Science Fair medal.  Students will be expected to present their projects to evaluators at the Science Fair.  Certificates will be awarded to those exceptional projects that meet criteria for recognition, to be given following the event.  Those who participate will strengthen their research and preparation skills, take pride in public speaking, and gain confidence while they enjoy exposure to their personal scientific interests. This is to be a fun, motivating, and, most of all, a rewarding experience. We truly hope you decide to participate in this exciting opportunity.
